We’re a group of (mostly) ordinary folks taking on the challenge of climbing two Ecuadorian volcanos, Cayambe and Chimborazo in December. Joining us on this adventure is Mikael Strandberg, an acclaimed explorer and filmmaker known for pushing the limits of human endurance. While we may not all be world-class adventurers, we’re determined to reach the summits—and hopefully do some good along the way.
To prepare for our climb, two of our ranks will be joining the Kensington Tours team in climbing the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower. By sponsoring us and supporting the ongoing work of United Way Greater Toronto, you'll be helping fight local poverty and building better, stronger communities so everyone who lives here has what they need to thrive.
As we prepare to visit Ecuador in December, this is our chance to give back to the community that will welcome us. We will be climbing in support of Daniëlle Children’s Fund a charity that believes every child has the right to be a child, and who are involved in Ecuadorian childcare legislation, and the implementation of child protection programs to promote preventive and alternative care.
Your support means a lot—not just to us as we push through the climb, but to the communities your generous donation will directly impact.

Mikael Strandberg led our Kilimanjaro team to Uhuru Peak at 4pm local time Friday April 4th, 2025 after 5 days of climbing. Our charity focus for this climb was local Maasi community member Felisha Yiasi, with donations supporting her first year of medical school and her aspiration to become the first doctor from her community, and desire to apply her practice to help people in Mara West.
